Bush is Leading

When it comes to the issue of what to do about the millions of Illegal Immigrants pouring over our Southern border there’s one thing everyone would have to agree upon. Whether you favor deportation or legalization, animosity or amnesty, fences or freedom the one person who been dealing with the issue for five years is President Bush. That’s what leadership is all about and like his ideas or not, he’s been unafraid to tackle an obviously difficult and divisive problem that’s been brewing for over twenty years.
When it comes to the issue of Corporate Corruption, let’s remember that it is the Bush Justice Department that has successfully prosecuted those at the very top even “Kenny-Boy” Lay of Enron. Wasn’t he the same guy that donated heavily to the Bush campaigns, was one of the President’s good-ole’-boys from down Texas-way and even may have been in on those “secret” energy meetings with Vice President Cheney? Could it be that in this Administration, Justice IS actually blind?
When it comes to dealing with Iran’s Mullahs and Korea’s Madhatter, President Bush has doggedly followed the International path to diplomacy despite the claim that he didn’t do so with Iraq. Now, those same critics chastise Bush for not going one-on-one with these nuclear wannabees.
When it comes to the issue of the New Orleans levies, we’re now learning that that entire Greater Metropolitan area is and (probably) has been sinking 30x faster than previously measured. Whether you think the President was slow on the trigger with FEMA aid or that Mayor Ray “where are the buses?” Nagin failed to get his people out of harm’s way or that Governor Blanco was in over her head, New Orleans may going the way of Atlantis.
So what does that leave us with? Contrary to recent polling, President is leading America though the tough issues, administering Justice fairly regardless of power or privilege, working in cooperation with our European, Russian and Asian allies to deal with the world’s most dangerous Dictatorships and doing everything possible to mitigate suffering and loss due to natural disasters, knowing all the while that no man, even the most powerful man in the world, can alter the course of Nature.
